Winner of the Bowker/Ulrich's Serials Librarianship Award
Pamela Bluh, a dedicated law librarian for over 35 years, was selected as the winner of the 2004 Bowker/Ulrich’s Serials Librarianship Award. This year marks the first time a law librarian has been recognized with this honor.
The Bowker/Ulrich’s Serials Librarianship Award recognizes individuals who have made outstanding contributions to serials librarianship. This award is granted annually by the the Serials Section of the American Library Association’s Association for Library Collection and Technical Services Division (ALCTS), and is sponsored by R.R. Bowker.
Currently, Pamela holds the position of Assistant Director for Technical Services and Administration at the Thurgood Marshall Law Library – University of Maryland School of Law. Her many other credits include: author, she has written extensively and serves on the Editorial Board of Serials Review; LIBADMIN list owner, the popular listserv devoted to the topic of library administration; and active library community member, including LAMA (Library Administration and Management Association), American Association of Law Libraries, Maryland Library Association, and the North American Serials Interest Group.
